- to practice, to train to do something, to exercise
- Jag kan inte spela gitarr än, men jag övar varje dag.
- I cannot play the guitar yet, but I practice every day.
- Vi övar på att spela gitarr.
- We practice playing the guitar.
Usage notes
- Used with på when mentioning what is practiced. Hence "öva varje dag" (practice every day) but "öva på att spela gitarr" (practice playing the guitar.)
