żejża
Maltese
Etymology
From Arabic بُزَيْزة (buzayza), diminutive of بِزّ (bizz). For the loss of initial b- compare Algerian Arabic زيزة (zīza, “breast”, also “vulva” and “little boy’s penis”).
Pronunciation
- IPA(key): /ˈzɛj.za/
Noun
żejża f (plural żejżiet)
Usage notes
- Żejza does not appear to be a particularly vulgar word in Maltese, though sider is the normal choice unless it is necessary to refer to one organ individually.
