Etymology

Borrowed from Biblical Hebrew שִּׁילוֹחַ (Shiloaḥ), whose meaning "gushing forth" is also rendered in Greek as ἀπεσταλμένος (apestalménos, having been sent), passive perfect participle of ἀποστέλλω (apostéllō)
