Learned borrowing from Ancient Greek ἀνοικοδομῶ (anoikodomô),[1] contracted form of ἀνοικοδομέω (anoikodoméō). By surface analysis, αν- (an-, re-, from ανα- (ana-)) +‎ οικοδομώ (oikodomó).
