απλώνω

Greek

Etymology

From Byzantine Greek απλώνω (aplṓnō), from Ancient Greek ἁπλῶ (haplô), ἁπλόω (haplóō) + -ώνω (-óno),[1] the former from ᾰ̔πλόος (hăplóos, single, onefold) +‎ -όω (-óō), thus "to make (a folded object) onefold, unfold" > "to spread out, diffuse".
