λωγάνιον
Ancient Greek
Etymology
Perhaps from Proto-Indo-European *(s)leh₁g- (“weak, faint”), the same root of λαγαίω (lagaíō, “to release”) and λαγαρός (lagarós, “slack, loose”); intermediate forms, such as *λώγανον (*lṓganon), *λώγη (*lṓgē), cannot be determined, however.
