акупресура
Bulgarian
Etymology
Superficially, blend of акупункту́ра (akupunktúra, “acupuncture”) + Latin pressūra; likely borrowed from some other language, as the second component does not appear to exist in Bulgarian.
Although the first component is ultimately from Latin acus (“needle”), acupressure does not use needles, whereas acupuncture does, prompting an analysis as a blend with акупункту́ра (akupunktúra) rather than a compound of acus + pressūra.
