Looks similar to يَنْظُرُ (yanẓuru, “he looks”), however such origin is dubious. Cognate with Kyrgyz жанар (janar, “eye(s)”). (This etymology is missing or incomplete. Please add to it, or discuss it at the Etymology scriptorium.)
