  1. To marry, to get married, to wed: to become a spouse or spouses. [with עִם]
    היא לא רצתה להתחתן איתו. ― hí ló rats'tá l'hitkhatén itó ― She didn't want to marry him.
    מתי תתחתנו? ― matái titkhat'nú? ― When will you get married?
  2. (biblical) To become in-laws, to marry one's daughter.
