תְּנַאי • (t'nái) m (plural indefinite תְּנָאִים, singular construct תְּנַאי־, plural construct תְּנַאֵי־)

1. (logic) a condition, an antecedent: the first half of a conditional statement, on which the consequent depends
2. a condition (to an agreement): a proviso, a requirement, a prerequisite
