Compound of آش (aş, “cooked food”) + خانه (hâne, “house”)

آشخانه • (aşhâne) (definite accusative آشخانهیی (aşhâneyi), plural آشخانهلر (aşhâneler))
- kitchen, a room or part of a room used for cooking and food preparation in a dwelling or in a commercial establishment
- Synonyms: آش اوی (aş evi), مطبخ (matbah)
- cookshop, a shop where cooked food is prepared and sold to the public, usually withouth the possibility to eat inside
- Synonym: آشجی دكانی (aşcı dükkânı)
