Etymology
From زخمه (zahme, “plectrum; stirrup strap”) + ـلمك (-lemek, suffix forming infinitives from nouns or adjectives).

زخمهلمك • (zahmelemek)
- (transitive) to strike or pluck the strings of an instrument, such as a lyre or guitar, with a plectrum
- (transitive) to furnish a saddle with stirrup straps or stirrup leathers in order to support the stirrups
