- It is a place of trade such that ships from the regions of Byzantium, Europe, al-Andalus, and North Africa come there. The tenth [of the goods] are given to the ruler, and the troops are supplied from that. The ruler has ships there which go and trade in Byzantium, Sicily, and North Africa.
