    mā hiya baʕḍu l-furūqi bayna š-šarīʕatayni l-muḥammadiyyati wa-l-mūsawiyya?

  2. (Islam) being true to the teachings of Muhammad, for example in comparison with other Islamic sects
    عَقِيدَتُنَا وَحْدَهَا هِيَ ٱلْعَقِيدَةُ ٱلْمُحَمَّدِيّةُ ٱلْأَصِيلة.
    ʕaqīdatunā waḥdahā hiya l-ʕaqīdatu l-muḥammadiyyatu l-ʔaṣīla.

Usage notes

  • Unlike English Muhammadan, the Arabic word is virtually never used to mean “Islamic” vis-à-vis other religions, at least not by Muslims.
