Usage notes
There are three ways to refer to teachers in Uyghur:
- مۇئەللىم (mu'ellim) can be used for both male and female teachers. This can be used both indirectly and directly.
- مۇئەللىمە (mu'ellime) can only used for female teachers, and it is not commonly used.
- ئوقۇتقۇچى (oqutquchi). This can only be used to refer to teachers indirectly, but not directly to them.
