- الْهَازِبَاء والبُنِّيّ والْجِرِّيث والشَبُّوط والشُلُوق من أصناف السمك
- Hāzibāʾ and Labeobarbus bynni and slime eel and the carp and šulūq are sorts of fish.
- a. 1296, عمر بن يوسف بن عمر بن رسول الغسَّاني التُّركُماني, المُعتَمَد في الأدوية المُفرَدَة[1], s.v. سَمَك:
- ويصلّح السمك الهازباء إذا اتخذ بالخلّ للمحمومين والمحرورين، وينفع أصحاب اليرَقان والأكباد الحارّة.
- And the hāzibāʾ fish mends, when taken with vinegar, the hot-tempered and feverish individuals, and helps those having jaundice and hot livers.
