ویزه
Ottoman Turkish
Etymology
From Ancient Greek Βιζύη (Bizúē), the ancient capital of the Asti tribe. The name probably shares the same Thracian root of other placenames like Βῡζᾰ́ντῐον (Būzắntĭon) and Βῑσᾰ́νθη (Bīsắnthē).
