Inherited from Prakrit *𑀝𑀽𑀝𑁆𑀝 (*ṭūṭṭa); related to Sanskrit तुण्ड (tuṇḍa). Cognate with Gojri ٹُوٹی (ṭūṭī), Marwari टूंटी (ṭūṇṭī), Mewari टूँटी (ṭū̃ṭī).
