Etymology
Borrowed from Classical Persian پوشِیدَگِی (pōšīdagī).[1] By surface analysis, پوشِیدَہ (pośīda, “secret, hidden, concealed”) + گِی (gī). First attested in c. 1799 as Middle Hindi پوشِیدَگِی (pvśydgy).[2]
