Semi-learned borrowing from Classical Syriac equivalent to a contraction of ܥܕ݂ܲܡܵܐ (ˁḏammā, “until”) +‎ ܡ̣ܢ (min, “from”) +‎ ܗܵܫܵܐ (hāšā, “now”).
