Inherited from Prakrit 𑀅𑀁𑀕𑁄𑀳𑀮𑀺 (aṃgohali), from Sanskrit *अङ्गहोल (*aṅgahola). Cognate with Marathi आंघोळ (āṅghoḷ), Marwari अंगोळ (aṅgoḷ).
