1. A Malayalam chillu letter (ചില്ലക്ഷരം) letter. It is the chillu letter of consonant റ with a cancelled root vowel. Transliterated as ṟ.

   ൎ was earlier used in archaic writings in place of the current ർ in middle of words

   This letter, like the other chillu letters, never occurs as the first letter of any Malayalam word.
