Cognate with Northern Thai ᩉ᩠ᨶᩧ᩶ᨦ, Lao ໜຶ້ງ (nưng), Lü ᦐᦹᧂᧉ (ṅueng²), Shan ၼိုင်ႈ (nūeng), Ahom 𑜃𑜢𑜤𑜂𑜫 (nüṅ), Zhuang naengj and nungj (dialectal), Nong Zhuang naengj.
