Usage notes
In Classical Tibetan, གསའ (gsa') and གཟིག (gzig) are coordinate terms. But according to Tournadre & Suzuki (2023), in most modern colloquial Tibetan varieties, གཟིག (gzig) is the dominant term for the snow leopard; གསའ (gsa') has thus become an alternative term.
