စားပွဲတင်တင်းနစ်
Burmese
Etymology
From စားပွဲ (ca:pwai:, “table”) + တင် (tang, “to place upon”) + တင်းနစ် (tang:nac, “tennis”) (despite MED not recognizing the semantic identity of the last two syllables). It is also possible, though less likely, that တင် (tang) invokes the sense of "buttocks", due to the ping pong table and net able to be metaphorically compared to a pair of buttocks and a buttcrack (gluteal cleft).
