Etymology
From မူ (moo, “heaven”) + ခိၣ် (khoh̀, “head”). The first syllable is from Proto-Karen *m̥oʔ (“sky”).[1] Cognate with Eastern Pwo မုဂ်ခေါဟ် (màʊkhʊ́), Western Kayah ꤗꤟꤢꤪꤋꤢꤨ꤬ (mo̤ahkù).
