Etymology
From ရင် (rang, “chest”) + an element ဘတ် (bhat), which does not invoke the sense of "baht" (contrary to MED), and instead is from a Proto-Lolo-Burmese *pat (“chest”); compare Lahu [Term?] (cuˉ pehˆ, “breast”) (STEDT).
