From ა- (a-) +‎ ფს- (ps-) +‎ -ენ (-en). Inherited from Proto-Kartvelian *ps- (to urinate).

  1. to have to urinate
    Synonym: წკაჲიშე დადგინენ (ǯǩayişe dadginen)
    ბერეს აფსენ. ჩეჩმეშე ამახთუ.
    beres apsen. çeçmeşe amaxtu.
    The kid has to pee. He went into the toilet.

Usage notes

  • This verb has imperfective optative in Western dialect (Atina, Vizha, Artasheni) and perfective optative in rest. In conjugation table Conjugation of Central dialect have been given.
