Etymology 2

Likely from etymology 1. Compare Armenian տո (to), which has senses and usages corresponding to both. The final positioning of ტო (ṭo) may suggest influence from Russian -то (-to, emphatic postpositive particle), or that can simply be a coincidence.

Particle

ტო • (ṭo)

  1. (slang, colloquial) phrase-final expletive connoting anger or surprise
