Etymology

From the root of ἅδος (hádos, satiety) and ἅδην (hádēn), ἄδην (ádēn, to one’s fill).

Attested only in the aorist and perfect. The present form ἀδέω (adéō) used by most dictionaries as the lemma form does not exist.
