Etymology
From earlier ἐνῴδιον (enōídion), from ἐν (en) + οὖς (oûs, “ear”) + -ίδιον (-ídion). The form was later altered to re-align with ὦτᾰ (ôtă), the plural of οὖς (oûs).[1]
