アスレチック • (asurechikku) 

1. athletics, athletic activity (various physical sports or activities, including track and field as well as others)

   Synonyms: 体育 (taiiku), 運動競技 (undō kyōgi)

   • 2022 November 28, “Raguna ten bosu, kyampu-jo shinsetsu e pūru ni suberidai, gurume kikaku mo [Laguna Ten Bosch to build water slide and gourmet restaurant in campground]”, in Ryūtsū Shimbun, page 6:

     小(こ)寺(でら)社(しゃ)長(ちょう)の考(かんが)えとして「（２１(じゅうにいち)年(ねん)に開(かい)業(ぎょう)した）森(もり)の中(なか)にアスレチック遊(ゆう)具(ぐ)を配(はい)置(ち)した区(く)画(かく)にキャンプ場(じょう)を造(つく)りたい」という。

     Kodera-shachō no kangae to shite “(jūniichi-nen ni kaigyō shita) mori no naka ni asurechikku yūgu o haichi shita kukaku ni kyanpu-jō o tsukuritai” to iu.

     President Kodera said that his plan is “to construct forest athletics course facilities within the bounds of the campground (which opened in ’09)”.
