The “five virtues” of Confucianism are 仁(じん) (jin, “benevolence”), 義(ぎ) (gi, “righteousness”), 礼(れい) (rei, “propriety”), 智(ち) (chi, “wisdom; knowledge”), and 信(しん) (shin, “integrity; morality”).
