Etymology

씹- (ssip-, vulgarizing prefix, literally “vagina, cunt”) +‎ 덕후 (deokhu, literally “otaku”), probably coined because a new vulgar term was needed when 덕후 (deokhu) lost its derogatory sense and simply came to mean "fan".
