Etymology
From Proto-Semitic *liΕ‘Δn- (βtongueβ). The reconstruction as /laΕ‘anu/ is based on the syllabic cuneiform spelling π·ππ‘ (la-Ε‘a-nu) found on the text of the Syllabary A Vocabulary.[1]
