Weakened form of куййм (kujjm, companion). Cognates include Northern Sami -guin and Ter Sami -гыэйм (-gïejm)/-гейм (-gʼejm).

  1. The ending of the 3rd person comitative plural.
    о̄ллмэ (ōllme, people) + ‎-гуэйм (-guejm) → ‎о̄ллмэгуэйм (ōllmeguejm, with people)
    мӣн (mīn, our) + ‎-гуэйм (-guejm) → ‎мӣнэгуэйм (mīneguejm, with us)

Usage notes

If possessive suffixes are used, they are placed before the comitative suffix:

  • коа̄нҍцэгуэйм (kåån’ceguejm, with friends) + ‎-гуэйм (-guejm) → ‎коа̄нҍцэсьгуэйм (kåån’ces’guejm, with his/her/their friend(s))
