Suffix

-ед • (-ed)

  1. Suffix added to stems to show that it eats something; an eater.
    мя́со (mjáso, meat) + ‎-ед (-ed) → ‎мясое́д (mjasojéd, carnivore, meat-eater)
    мёд (mjod, honey) + ‎-ед (-ed) → ‎медое́д (medojéd, honey badger)
