1. -less, de-, non-, un- (suffix used to create adjectives not containing the noun)

   Antonym: -лі (-lı)

   ‎сақал (saqal, “beard”) + ‎-сіз (-sız) → ‎сақалсыз (saqalsyz, “beardless”)

From Proto-Turkic *siŕ, which was a postposition. Cognate with Kyrgyz -сиз (-siz), Southern Altai -сигер (-siger) / -зигер (-ziger), Turkish -siz.

-сіз • (-sız)

1. are (denotes "to be" for second person singular polite when at the end of an object)

   ‎қазақ (qazaq, “a Kazakh”) + ‎-сіз (-sız) → ‎қазақсыз (qazaqsyz, “You are a Kazakh”)

2. Denotes second person singular polite after various tenses

• This is a polite and formal ending, while -сің (-sıñ) is an informal one.
• This suffix doesn't get stress.
