Dietsveld
Dutch
Etymology
Attested as Dietsveld in 1935. Difficult to interpret due to a paucity of old attestations. Potentially a compound of duist (“slender meadow foxtail, Alopecurus myosuroides”) and veld (“field”). The first element is unlikely to be Diets (“Dutch, continental Germanic”).
