Lüdenscheid-Nord
German
Etymology
Literally, “Lüdenscheid North”. The nickname as such is from the desire to avoid the rival’s name, but the choice of Lüdenscheid is deliberately absurd, because both Hagen and Iserlohn are closer to Dortmund and more populous than Lüdenscheid.
