From מִיכַיְהוּ (mīḵāyᵊhū, “who is like Yahweh”). The name Micah is a shortened form, such as in the book of the Bible (Hebrew מִיכָה (mīḵāh)) or the Ephraimite mentioned in Judges 17-18.
