Owston Ferry

English

Etymology

Originally two settlements, Owston, and (West Kinnard's) Ferry, it was not known as Owston Ferry until the early 1900s. A ferry used to operate across the Trent, and a settlement on the opposite bank is named East Ferry, which may be historically significant. [1]
