Pitstone Green

  1. The former name of a settlement in Pitstone parish, Buckinghamshire, England, now regarded as the northern half of Pitstone village (OS grid ref SP9315).
    • 1955 November, G. Machell, “Railway Development at Aylesbury -1”, in Railway Magazine, page 741:
      From the junction with the main line at Pitstone Green, some three miles south of Cheddington, the proposed route was by Aston Clinton, skirting Aylesbury on the south, through Haddenham to Oxford.

Usage notes

The only use of the name now is by an open-air museum on the south edge of the previously designated settlement. Pitstone Green as a named settlement no longer appears on OS maps.
