From ilamati (“for a woman to age, grow old”) + -qui. Attested indirectly in forms like the apocopic ilama, the plural ilamatqueh, and derived terms like the diminutive ilamatcātōntli (“small old woman”) (cf. huēhueh and *huēhuetqui (“old man”)).
