From 𐎷𐎰𐎼 (mi-θ-r /Miθraʰ/, “Mithra”) + *-ānah (patronymic suffix). Cognate with Parthian 𐭌𐭕𐭓𐭍 (Mihrān),[1] whence Old Armenian Միհրան (Mihran).
