Proto-Bodish

Etymology

From Proto-Sino-Tibetan *ŋa.

Pronoun

*ŋa (plural *ŋet)

  1. I, me (1st-person singular pronoun)

Reconstruction notes

Bodt posits a complicated series of inter-Bodish borrowings because the attested forms are difficult for him to straightforwardly derive from Proto-Bodish *ŋa(s).[1] A simpler explanation would be desirable.
