- Forms the accusative case.
- *nokaï (“dog”) + *-i → *nokaïyï (“the dog (accusative)”)
Usage Notes
- In stems with final -n, either the form -i or the form -yi can be used, in which case the final -n falls.
- *morïn (“horse”) + *-i → *morïnï (“the horse(accusative)”) or *morïn (“horse”) + *-i → *morïyï (“the horse(accusative)”)
