These Naish terms are collected together in the STEDT.

Both Naxi and Laze have irregular vowel reflexes. Laze's /u/ can be attributed to assimilation to the vowel of "head", while Naxi /ɯ/ can be assumed to have been caused by unrounding of *u to *i at some proto-stage.
