Proto-Naish

Etymology

A compound made of *lak (hand) and some second element meaning "finger". Elsewhere in Naic, the compound appears in Namuyi [Term?] (/⁠læ31 ȵi31⁠/) and Shixing [Term?] (/⁠le33 ɲi55⁠/).

The exact same compound, however, shows up in Burmese လက်ညှိုး (lakhnyui:, index finger) and its other Lolo-Burmese cognates.
