Etymology
A compound made of *lak (“hand”) and some second element meaning "finger". Elsewhere in Naic, the compound appears in Namuyi [Term?] (/læ31 ȵi31/) and Shixing [Term?] (/le33 ɲi55/).
The exact same compound, however, shows up in Burmese လက်ညှိုး (lakhnyui:, “index finger”) and its other Lolo-Burmese cognates.
