From Proto-Afroasiatic *nuuk, found in causative Egyptian snq (to suckle) and Somali nuug / dhuuq (to suck), Rendille nuuga (to suck), Afar angu (breast), Jiiddu eenge (breast), Saho angu (breast), Iraqw isaangw (nipple, breast), Sidamo unuuna (breast), and possibly Hausa nono (breast).
